How We Help
Every community's challenges look different, so our work does too. We start with what a community raises, and then we dig deeper to understand the root causes at play, whether that is an environmental or public health concern, a policy decision that needs better data and community input, or a project that needs support to get off the ground.
Writing, Training, and Public Engagement
Complex information is only useful if people can act on it, and clear communication makes that possible. We write technical documents, lead workshops and training sessions, speak at keynotes and panels, and support community education and outreach efforts, each shaped around what a particular audience actually needs.
Policy and Regulatory Navigation
Understanding a policy or permitting decision is often the hardest part of engaging with it, and we help communities, governments, and organizations do exactly that. Depending on the situation, this support may involve environmental and community impact review, energy justice and utility policy research, or other regulatory questions unique to the issue at hand.
Project Development and Management
Turning an idea into a funded, well-supported project rarely follows the same path twice. We help communities and organizations assess local needs, coordinate with partners, develop grants and proposals, build community support, and manage implementation. Projects vary by community and often include climate adaptation, renewable energy, and waste- or landfill-related energy initiatives.

Research and
Diagnosis
Energy systems, infrastructure decisions, and utility policy affect people and the environment in ways that are not always visible, and our research brings those effects into focus. Our work may include AI and data center environmental impacts, sustainability and greenhouse gas assessments, catching greenwashing and overlooked impacts, and utility bill analysis.
